bobble

the world's first portable handheld filtered water bottle

Launched in 2010, bobble the world's first portable handheld filtered water bottle aimed to make water better. A simple idea – filter while you drink; challenged the need for single-use water bottles. Building a brand that would challenge the way we think about drinking water required a bold and disruptive visual brand language that would challenge category conventions of water filtration. To shift consumer perception that doing good had to look boring, Karim Rashid partnered with Move Collective and Safari Sundays to design a sleek and stylish accessory ensuring you could look good while doing good.

The innovative water bottle was packaged in a minimalist black structure to highlight the product design and filter colors. The use of black to anchor the brand universe disrupted the then, all-white world of water. What started as a simple idea and 1 product expanded to a portfolio of products. In the first 2 years, 15 million bobbles were sold across 51 countries.
